Dealing With Fleas or Ticks? We Can Help.
Nobody likes discovering fleas hopping through their dog's coat, spotting a tick tucked behind an ear, or noticing those tiny black specks (flea dirt) in your pup's fur. A flea infestation can happen to any dog, indoors or outdoors, and once fleas and ticks move in, they're uncomfortable for your dog and frustrating for you.
At Classi K-9 Clips, we use a professional-grade flea shampoo and tick shampoo to treat the problem right away, killing adult fleas on contact and easing your dog's discomfort so you both get some relief.
With more than 40 years of grooming experience, owner Shirl Schaeffer, a Nationally Certified Master Groomer, has treated just about every kind of flea and tick situation that walks through our door. Your dog's health and comfort are in good hands.

What's Included
A flea and tick bath here is more than a quick dog bath. Here's what your pup can expect:

Medicated Flea & Tick Shampoo Treatment
We use a specialized shampoo that kills fleas and ticks on contact and helps clear away flea eggs and flea feces from the coat.

Flea Comb Pass
For dogs with a heavier flea infestation, we'll comb through the coat to help remove fleas and check our work.

Soothing Rinse
Fleas and ticks often leave a dog's skin red, irritated, and itchy. We follow the shampoo with a soothing rinse to calm that skin irritation.

Nail Trim & Ear Cleaning
Included with this service, so your dog leaves feeling refreshed from nose to tail.

Thorough Check-Over
We check your dog's coat, skin, and ears for any remaining pests so nothing gets missed.

Gentle, Patient Handling
A dog dealing with fleas or ticks is already uncomfortable, so we take our time and keep the bath calm and low-stress.

A Few Things to Know
A flea and tick bath will rid your dog of the adult fleas and ticks currently on their coat and skin, but it won't act as an ongoing flea control medication or stop new pests from hopping back on afterward.
For lasting protection, we recommend talking to your veterinarian about a flea and tick preventative, whether that's a topical, an oral medication, or a natural flea and tick option, to keep your pup protected between visits. Treating pet bedding and your home is also worth doing if fleas have been an issue, since eggs can linger there even after your dog's bath.
If your dog has a heavy flea infestation, shows signs of skin infection or allergies, or seems unusually tired or uncomfortable, it's a good idea to have your vet take a look as well. We're happy to help with the grooming and bathing side of flea and tick care, but some situations call for veterinary medicine too.
This service is available for dogs of all ages, including puppies old enough for bathing. Just give us a call to talk through what's best for your pup.
